Spanish for "shark" - spelled "tiburon" (with a little accent mark in
there). "El tiburon es muy peligroso!" It is the name of a town over in
Marin County in the Bay Area and was (maybe still is) also the name of a
Chrysler Corporation small car.

Yes, I live near Tiberon (well, ok, between San Jose and San
Francisco), but I can't imagine why cops would be saying "Tiberon"
unless it was say the Tiberon police (i..e "Tiberon, unit 10-97".

The person was asking what is tiberon, so I'm guessing he doesn't live
near Tiberon, but is hearing it being said (or something similar)
wherever he lives...

Tom

James T. Kirk's middle name?

Actually, it's used as often as the word "Impala", "Civic" and
"Corolla". It's a brand of car.
