Dave - that was bad. We're talking about "The Word"....have you no scruples? Don't answer. :-P No reason to walk on tippy toes. *The Word shall make you free. *If freedom and religion can coexist, humor must be involved. *Rigidity invites power trips. *Jesus is not about power trips. I know ( I think) what you are getting at and there is some validity to what you said, but make no mistake about it Dave, when he comes back (and he will) - he is going to be on the biggest "Power Trip" this universe has ever known and it won't be pleasant for some. At least if that silly book that was written under divine inspiration by the Lord himself is correct. Yeppers - I think "Power Trip" just about hits it on the head. I am not comfortable with your characterization of "Hanging Judge Jesus" and/or "Rambo with Stigmata" Jesus. *If you truly understood non-violence and humility, you'd agree.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I understand no violence and all. I forget the verses that talk about the Lord in that light ( I could look them up) but they also seem to "forget" the next verses where he also says "He is a God of anger / vengeance and wrath. It has nothing to do with the 'reader' being or not being non violent and humble - I do agree with that. |

Back in the 1980s, one of the Space Shuttles which was riding piggyback
on a transport Airplane flew low over Jackson,Mississippi, flying low so us backwater hicks could get a good look up thar at it.I think it was at Parham Bridges Park in Jackson where it was advertized on tv noos.I went over there to get a good looksee. I was working at Delta Cotton Oil in Jackson when the first Space Shuttle went up into orbit, in 1981.I worked in the solvent extraction plant at Delta Cotton Oil, Hexane (Hexane is kin to lighter fluid, Very Flammable stuff!) fluid in there for extracting the oil from the cotton seeds, so of course no radios or anything else that could cause a spark was allowed in there. cuhulin |
