Default Shortwave and high fidelity speakers and headphones

There has been some discussion here about what is best for Shortwave
radio speakers and headphones. I was just listening to a BBC program on
African drum music that sounded fantastic on the Sony bookshelf speakers
and high fidelity headphones so when you have a good signal don't
shortchange yourself on a good experience.

At least with the tabletop receivers I think you way better off using
the radios IF bandwidth controls to adjust or limit the audio response
when conditions get tough instead of limiting all that you hear all the
time with narrow response speakers and headphones.
