Just acquired GE P780...

Howdy gang-
I just picked up a GE P780, and I recall reading a few posts about this radio
in the last few weeks or month. I notice some models had antenna terminals, but
this one doesn't (but it looks very easy to add one)... but is there anything
else I should know about this as far as components which are more prone to
failure than others, or are there any good tuning tips or tricks I can use?
Sure sounds good from the speaker!
Linus

Good job Linus!!!!! You have one fine BCB dxing radio. IN the yahoo group
called (I think) amradiodx......er something in a different order, that is the
radio we've been talking about.

I have two of them, one with the terminals and one without, I can tell you
this. It is a GREAT BCB performer, you put that radio together with a lazy
susan table or any table that turns and a nice loop and you've got a heckuva
BCB logging radio.

You'll see, if you have a good one, fortunately both of mine are nice and I
have seperate tables and loops for them and I am extremely happy with them.

Did you get it on ebay, may I ask?

I did bid on a unit on eBay, but found one at a local flea market. $20 for a
working AM radio in great shape (truly) seemed worth it to me.
Thanks for the URLS in the other post, very worthwhile sites for a new owner of
such a cool radio.
Thanks my friend-
Linus
