Sony 2010 loses memory, resets itself

I've recently been experiencing my Sony resetting itself, losing all
its memories and the clock resets to zero and all the memory slots
say 150 khz...this has happened about 3 times the last month...at the
very slightest joggle or bump of the radio. Never did that
before...any suggestions. Thank you. I love my Sony 2010.

Stick a dime in with the computer batteries. Or gently bend a
contact.

Most likely a bad battery contact in the 'AA' compartment. Try cleaning
the contacts with alchohol and increase the spring tension on them.

Before asking, you should have tried Google searching this group to
see if the problem has been discussed before. It has, about 6 months
ago. And several other times, I'm sure. It's a known problem with the
2010. I had to give mine the contact bending treatment. That made it
much better, but it occasionally dumps memory still. The suggestion to
solder in a wire to replace the spring contact may be a better fix.

Bull****. He had no way of knowing that it was a common problem. If it
hadn't been discussed in 6 months, there is no problem in mentioning it
again. Not everyone has been on this group for years and a bit of
information like this would not be known to them if someone didn't bring it
up. Now questions such as "what is the best shortwave radio" have been
beaten to death and most should realize that a Google search would bring up
more than they ever wanted to know. Even in that case, things change and
getting current opinions would be helpful.
