Serial starting with a "4"....is not this one of the "older" SW-8's that
start coverage on 500KHz (not 100KHz).....it may not have Selectable Sideband Sync, just "Sync" on AM. The seller is referencing website info pertaining to the "later" model that is much different from his "early" version.....not the same radio. Am I correct here? "RHF" wrote in message oups.com... Per DXing.Com = http://www.dxing.com/rx/sw8.htm .. * Units produced after 03/31/95 (S/N = 5C) feature a preamp circuit for the telescopic whip antenna. .. * Units produced after 01/01/96 (S/N = 6A) include coverage down to 100 kHz (long wave) and have Selectable Sideband Syncro. .. This SW8's Serial Number is: 4B12950064 So it would be one of the original early production units without the three above "Improvements". .. that is all ~ RHF .. .. |

yes, this SW-8 is worth about $350 in my expert opinion
