The bible is not proof Al! A book can say anything. True, a book can say anything and some of them say practically nothing. But let's consider the Bible for a bit. It was written over a period of about 1600 years by about 40 different authors. It has changed the lives of more people than all the other books in the world - combined! Much more could be said here, but I'll conclude with this. Look for the new message called "A Tribute to the Bible". No, I did not write it. It was copyrighted in 1963. YEP, you King James Only folks, it's the King James Version - - and it's COPYRIGHTED!!!! This was one of Gail Riplinger's arguments against the NEW versions. They were written so men could make money on them. Like SHE wasn't making money on her book(s). ...Like THEY were not copyrighted. Copyrights are to protect the author so they CAN make money on it. Anyway, so much for that also. I did not write this "tribute" but rather found it in a Dake Bible which is KJV and was copyrighted in 1963. I don't know if it originated with him, existed long before him, or if he modified someone else's work. Point is - I will post it, but won't even pretend to "own" it. :-) |

My god. I read that post without first seeing who sent it, and thought cuhulin had finally gotten himself a spell-checker. You should see ALL my messages before I spell-check them! Sometimes I misspell Al and I've known him for many decades! ;-) Sometimes I misspell them so badly the spell checker won't even hint at what I thought I meant -- just indicate it's wrong. Then I have to go to Webster's dictionary, a book of synonyms or even a thesaurus and find another word! |

"Al Patrick" wrote in message ... Go to http://groups-beta.google.com/grphp?hl=en&tab=wg&q= and do a search of this news group. Look for the words xian and g-d and you'll turn up a few of them. No. Name one. I'm not interested in seeing who uses the spelling xian or g-d. I'm not interested in wading through all of the posts that have one of those words in them, either, in search of someone saying that they look on the death of any Christian with glee. I'm interested in hearing -you- name someone in this group who "would rejoice at the thoughts of the death of any true Christian." Surely you must have had someone in mind? Or a more specific post to cite? You want someone else to do ALL your work for you? Besides that, just because I know something doesn't mean I have to tell YOU! . . . . and just because you DEMAND it! ;-) |

But of course, that's redundant. You can't write a name because you can't support your claim. Besides, I didn't ask for you to do my homework; I asked for -you- to support -your- allegation. I asked if you had a name in mind. I asked if you had a specific post that you could cite to bolster your claim. Your failure is duly noted. And certainly not unexpected. |

In a message under the heading of " The passing of Dr. Scott & r.r.s.
merrymaking" BDK wrote: But god made them, just like botulism, right? Check this out: Yes, I know it isn't botulism. (There I go changing the subject again!) It's Trichinosis I'm mentioning here. However, there's something very interesting about it. ALL the animals mentioned happen to be animals that God told us NOT TO EAT. (See God's dietary laws in the Bible, also known as clean and unclean meats. I believe the bear is in the UNclean category.) "Trichinosis is a parasitic disease that results from eating undercooked meat, most frequently pork, which contains cysts of Trichinella spiralis. T. spiralis can be found in pork, bear, fox, rat, horse and lion meat." Clipped from: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/000631.htm |

Gosh, guess only one person can reply to an atheists post but atheists can crosspost to every anti-Christian ng on the web and its ok? Guess you got an answer to your question though didn't you? B |
