WHAT IS THE WHOLE POINT!

I, like you have work plus OT, home and family to take care as well, but before I was licensed, I found the time because I was motivated by the fascination of using radio. The studying was simply crammed in when I could. So what's the solution? We're all very busy, Free Licenses now? I'll bet that when CW is dropped, the NCI will change to the NTI (No Test Int.). As I read from their web site & from members, it really seems to be the direction they're going. Chuck WG2A "VHFRadioBuff" wrote in message ... 5WPM Bill, 5WPM, how much more easy does it have to be? The written is simple & the CW test a joke. I know of 7 year olds that passed a 5WPM CW test & are still licensed hams today, no Doctorates, just determined. Chuck WG2A 7 year olds have a lot more time than those of us in the working world with children of our own and spouses going back to school as well as volunteer commitments. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB - WPYI880 (GMRS) Beachwood, NJ USA! When ham radio gets easier, as evidenced by the attitude of the no-code
technician posts, it will become more caotic. Soon every car audio dealer will have all band all mode stuff out of china on the air in every car, just like they are trying to do to the GMRS radio service with the advent of the GMRS/FRS combo talkies, and all you hear on them is garbage from folks that dont know how to be respectful. And why? Because they didnt earn the PRIVILAGE (not "the right") to be on the air and therefore treat it cheaply. Brian O. "AF Four Kilo" wrote in message ... Hehe - I think he doesn't get your point at all, Mike! He he!
