Anybody have a recommendation for an open source NEC based antenna program
that runs on Linux? If there are any utilities that can display the antenna structure and field patterns that would be a bonus. Plus has anybody used the OpenOffice program "Calc", or some other utility, to automate the generation of the input card deck? I know about the following site: http://www.si-list.net/swindex.html I just haven't had time to play with any of the Linux software. I was hoping somebody else already has done so. -- Regards, Leland C. Scott KC8LDO |

Debian shows the following in its Stable repository: http://packages.debian.org/stable/hamradio/nec http://packages.debian.org/stable/science/necpp http://packages.debian.org/stable/python/python-necpp http://packages.debian.org/stable/hamradio/xnecview The home page of XNECView appears to be he http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~ptdeboer/ham/xnecview/ I've not played with any of this, but may do so in the future. 73, de Nate -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds, the pessimist fears this is true." |
