Anyone have a design for a 144/440 dual band ground plane. I know that it's
available commercially, but I'd like to put one together myself. I have not been able to find a design on-line. Any ideas? 73, Mike N2YBB |

An ordnary 2m ground plane ought to do; it'll be about 3/4 wave at 440. The SWR may not match perfectly but use good coax like LMR-600 and you'll get out fine. Another option is Arrow's 2m/440 dual-band open-stub J-pole, one of which I have (after my home-made ground plane fell apart in the winds). |
