Need instructions for Uniden BC142XL

I reccently got a bearcat scanner from my dad's. This one was given
to him by my mom back in the late 80's or early 90's and I can't find
the instructions for programming it. I live next to a fire station
and about a mile from the airport and thought it would be neat to hear
what was going on. Please help!
