Hi,
I have a Sangean ATS-909 with the Super-909 upgrade and one thing I notice (which may or may not have been there before the upgrade) is that on unused or faint MW / LW frequencies, I can hear little 'pips' every 1/2 second, which exactly matches the flashing of the ":" in the time display. I can only hear the pips in 'AM' mode, not USB or LSB (though of course, all broadcasts are in AM mode on MW/LW!). Are these pips a 'feature' of the 909 or only after the Super 909 upgrade? Has anyone else noticed this before? While it isn't 'the end of the world', it is noticeable. Regards, ...Francis Byrne |
