Does anyone know how to change the awkward attentuator switching for
the Kenwood R-1000 from the 20, 40 and 60 steps to 10, 20, and 30? Thanks, Reggie |

It's a matter of changing the values of the resistors near the
attenuator switch in the rear right-hand side of the upper board. I think you can find the value changes in the "Files" section of the Yahoo R-1000 user's group. I only changed the section for shortwave in mine. I left the LW/MW attenuator resistors as they originally were. Frank K3YAZ Tucson |
