Motorola STX

I have a STX 821 and could not change it from a conventional to
trucking radio without a system key. My boss has one already
programmed and I uploaded his and it will not download to mine or
another one that he has saying that can not download to a older
version. I can not even save the file that I uploaded the files to, it
keeps saying The file Name is Bad, Please correct it. Can anyone help
me with any of this.
