UNIDEN HR2600 FM problems

UNIDEN HR2600 FM problems

I recently acquired a Uniden HR2600. It seems to work fine except on FM.
When in FM, the display light goes out and there is a burst of noise. No
receive or transmit.

Anybody seen this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
