Hybrid-quad

Hi OMs
I'm making a hybridquad for 1298 MHz.What's the optimum distance of the
reflector plate to the quad element ? I've heard that it's quarterwave
distance.Which material is better for the reflector,aluminium or epoxy with
copper surface ?
