Default Blown trap??

I have a Mosley tribander with the following symptoms:

SWR on 20 is 2:1 and there appears to be no pattern or it is very skewed.
On the antenna analyzer, it is showing 100 ohm impedence. The other bands
are operating normally.

My guess it one of the 20 meter traps in the driven element has either
roasted or a wire has come undone. That would make half the antenna too
short on 20.

Before I go up and take it down, anyone care to venture what I will find? I
would like to be prepared so I can fix it with the least amount of downtime.

If that is a TA33JR, and you are running more than a few hundred W, quite
likely. I blew the 15 m trap on mine. Good thing; the Hygain TH3 I replaced
it with is better in all respects.

Dear Mr. Buck,

Which Mosley do you have? Check 15 meters as well. It could be the
outboard coil on that radiator. 20 meters is not trapped but a
summation of the entire element. Please feel free to call 636-583-8595
for further assistance.
