to drive them out instead of encouraging them to go for the gusto.

I'm motivating them. And when I catch them on the air, they have an
enjoyable and educational contact.

When they find out CW, RTTY, packet, PSK, SSTV, are fun, they have just
stepped in to a much larger ham radio, than one with just a ham talking on
a microphone.
