hi,
im designing a cardioid pattern at 2.4GHz, null based measurment.very few articles dwell on this topic especially in the microwave region. essentially, the cardioid pattern is a result of the mixture of a figure eigth and an omni radiation.im thinking of using a simple monopole(triangular patch) and a dipole(coplanar waveguided slot). these are my questions, 1. is using a power combiner(wilkinson divider) with the monopole and dipole as inputs the correct way of producing the cardioid pattern?i 2. are there any other methods on how to combine the patterns? 3. how about the spacing or relative distances between the feedpoints of the monopole and dipole? thank you so much! electro |
