Please keep in mind that what you post here reflects on all hams.
It is true that ham radio is a fun hobby but keep in mind that we are here to serve the general pubic when ever possible. Be it emergency communication, helping out local law enforcement or what ever. When a Ham starts posting messages that contains cuss words or are insulting it reflects on the rest of us hams. We are a self governed entity and for the most part try and help out fellow hams with any questions they may have. (The questions may seem simple even stupid sometimes) but we all have been there at one time. I would (as most of us would) try and help out someone, rather than insult them. (what possible good can come from insults?) Many people here have helped me out with my understanding of antennas, and I THANK YOU ALL. Many of you have vastly more knowledge in the subject than I do and I will ask questions untill I have no more questions to ask. After all, I can read all the books but untill you ask someone that has BEEN THERE DONE THAT, the books are just a starting point. I just wanted to thank everyone for all there help and to remind the ones that just FLAME everyone here that maybe they forgot why they got into ham radio ...
