I have a chance to buy a used two element linearly loaded "shortie-
fourty" beam at a low price. It is a KLM 40M-2B. I am a CW only operator, so bandwidth isn't of much concern to me. I would be putting it up at 75 ft. I would like people's general opinions about this beam compared to other two element loaded 40m beams. Are there any endemic shortcomings with the KLM beam (other than the company is out of business - M2 now gives some support)? Do the lexan element-to-boom saddles hold up? Thanks - Jeff - KA9S |
