Question

I assembled it per the instructions for the band parts I wanted. I triple
measured and Up she went.

I'm really Low (as in instead of 14.150 its down around 13.950)

And I just noticed yesterday looking up that the director seemed a bit
longer than the driven.

And I know as per the first line, I assembled it to the tee for per the
instruction sheet.

Suggestions ?

Dunno, if the director is longer than the DE, something ain't right..
Maybe a loose tube pulled out a bit or something.. ??
The director should be a little over an inch shorter than the DE.
Could be a visual illusion too though.. You will probably have to
yank it back down and re-measure. :/

I had a similar issue with an A3S that's used during Field Day. It turned
out that the PVC caps on the ends of the traps weren't pushed-on flush with
the ends of the traps. We found this when double-checking the overall
length of the elements -- they were a few inches long, even though the
intermediate lengths appeared to be correct. Make sure the PVC caps are
pushed *all the way* onto the traps.

You may also experience some aberration in the resonant frequency if you
don't have adequate decoupling of the feedline's shield from the DE
feedpoint. Cushcraft recommends winding several turns of feedline into a
coil as close as possible to the DE feedpoint. You can also use a 1:1 balun
of your favorite flavor.
