The following web page shows azimuth and elevation projection
comparisons for a 2 element quad with quarter wave spacing vs. 3 element Yagi vs. 2 element delta loop driven array (both elements driven.) (A larger image is available by clicking on the smaller images.) http://www.gopherlink.com/DeltaXray/...-Detailed.html |

These images appear to be for Maximum Gain. Look at the VSWR curves. You
will need a tuner to get today's rigs to load any of these antennas. Hi Dave,
http://www.gopherlink.com/DeltaXray/...-Detailed.html Apparently you did not click on the image (page listed above) for the SWR/Bandwidth graph to zoom the image and scroll to the bottom chart which shows actual performance SWR @ Fr = 1:1 Z=47R Bandwidth = 680 khz @ 10 meters. Actual and modeling parameters are shown on the web page listed above. The following page are photographs of the monoband 10 meter version http://www.gopherlink.com/DeltaXray/hfantenn.htm However the Yagi and the Quad require impedance transformations – the stated modeling parameters specify "series current source" for all three modeled antennas. 73, Rich W9JUC (since 1954) Dave Shrader wrote in message news:xaJXb.39183$jk2.86580@attbi_s53...
