Ofcourse Tesla like Vincent and Prof Hately and Hart ignored the king pin of equilibrium thinking resonance and equilibrium could be equated as the same. When Tesla started to pump energy into the earth to prove the method of transferring energy there was a huge explosion in the hinta land of Russia which westerners were not allowed to view. Thus this was taken as evidence that energy could be passed thru the ground. What created the explosion in Russia is unknown even to this day.( the FBI stole all Teslas records and destroyed them as they considered Tesla a possible enemy, to the dismay of science. The antenna with a capacitive top is just a way to modify a non resonant antenna by enlarging the capacitive content of the radiator. That immediately violated the root(LC) ratio required for Maxwells law thus it is then the "system" that was made resonant instead of the radiator alone. John. What interested you most? Regards, JS Tesla interests me also. If he didn't neglect the principles of equilibrium he would not have died without notice. Professor Hately, Vincent, Hart and many others also failed to take it into account and also will fade from memory. But without these people we would not have any thing to print in QST Art |

The turbine he designed/built is still used today in virtually unaltered design ... his tesla coils virtually "cover the net" and it is difficult to conduct a through search on antennas/theory and not to start running into such ... a truly amazing man for his time--I wonder if he would not even stand as such if born in our time. But thank goodness he wasn't--he put us "ahead of the game." Regards, JS |
