What I keep running into in life are places where the employees are all arranging the situation to "please" themselves (that usually means they "get rid" of qualified individuals who are a "threat" to their job position) with a great work environment and service sucks (indeed, I am now ending up with "pleasant" a-holes in India/china/Malaysia on help lines! *This REALLY peeves me!)--it is a job, yanno? *That is why they call it "work!" Now if both can be accomplished, great service AND a wonderful and nurturing environment for "them"--GREAT! *I can't be fooled--I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! *:-D Regards, JS John , Companies want to cut down labor costs on the assumption they sell to employees of other companies who apparently have the money to spend. This disregards his own employees buying power.. Unfortunatly the workers at other companies also have had their wages cut such that the premise that employees can afford the products of employers is false. Thus the manufacture of products or inventory must be adjusted to concurr with existing buying power. But the benefits of reduced labor costs were pocketed by the employer while the purchasing price of the product stayed the same or went up. Because the employee is now earning less he needs assistance to get by. The costs of this is passed on to the supplier in the form of taxes who imediately passes the addition to the consumer. And so it goes on until the round about comes to a halt and its riders raid the hoard that the employer pocketed by force. Art |
