Hi George, Use a CB whip with matching. 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC As Richard noted, MOST Loran C Antenna Systems, are comprised of a 108" CB Whip and an Active Antenna Preamp specifically designed for the 100 Khz Frequency and 100 Hz Bandwidth of Loran C Signals. Usually it doesn't take much except a good narrow Bandpass filter in front of a couple of Cascode JFets, to get a reasonable signal level for the Units receiver, and normally, Notch Filtering, is done at the Main Receiver and Controlled by the microcontroller that runs the receiver, for interfering Pulse Signals. -- Bruce in alaska add path after fast to reply |

I spent 9 years on LORAN C stations (Kure Is, Sylt, Ger and Caribou, Me). What do you want to know? 73, Roger (CWO4, USCG ret) -- Remove tilde (~) to reply Remember the USS Liberty (AGTR-5) http://ussliberty.org/ |

If I can still find them - any interest? 73's Howie W3CQH |
