Default Is Universal Towers (auminum towers) Still in Business ?

I see a couple of sellers (AES and Texas Towers) have them but I cannot seem
to find them anywhere on the web. Are these dealers selling stock that they
have ?

Doug;
Universal does not have a web site. They seem to be satisfied with AES
& Texas Towers being their only dealers.
After Hurricane Hugo damaged several towers in the Metro Charlotte, NC
area in 1989, several club members ordered Universal 60' & 70' models
and are very satisfied with their quality.
Good luck,
Jim, K4SQR

www.universltower.com is the web site for a Universal Tower in Henderson KY.
It will not come up. You could always try calling them on the 'phone, or ask
the Texas Towers sales rep what the story is.

Did they move to KY? The firm was based here in Michigan - about 50
miles north of Detroit. They made/make good quality. As I recall,
their specifications used a safety-factor of one - but, it was in the
fine print. Have two of their crank-over towers used on top of tall
building. 73 Mac N8TT

They advertise off & on in QST. Check the "Index of Advertisers" in
the backs of a few issues.
