Speaker cone as AM antenna?

If you don't have an old speaker you can use to experiment with, visit the next local swap meet. I'll be interested in knowing how well it worked for you. I'm not too sure that wire wrapped around a magnet would be that great at picking up electromagnetic waves - honestly. I could be wrong, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me really. removing the magnet would result in better reception, but the length of the wire in the voice coil probably wouldn't be nearly enough anyway. |
