New program CHOKEBAL.exe
Design and performance of a choke balun wound on a ferrite ring in conjunction with a balanced transmission line and antenna. The percent current unbalance on the line is estimated and how it varies with frequency, line-length, etc. Sorry, this program does NOT tell you how much power is radiated from the feedline. Program size 37 kilo-bytes. Download CHOKEBAL in a few seconds from website below and run immediately. It's free issue. ---- .................................................. .......... ![]() Reg I've been trying to learn how to make baluns for the past few weeks. I really appreciate your program. I downloaded it this morning and have been thinking about it since then. I had thought that I'd be restricted to using low loss insolution for the wires on the baluns I've been building. I tried using 3 paralel wires from a computer ribbon cable, but the losses have been way too high (at 137MHz) Also, I would like to bild some 1:1 baluns with ferrite cores but cant find a way to build them within my capability. Thanks for the great program Jerry "Reg Edwards" wrote in message ...
