See ARRL Antenna Compendiums Vol 5, pg 55 & Vol 6, pg 227 for
construction articles. Claimed gain is approx. 2dbd over 1 wl quads &
2.5 dbd over yagis with same boom length.

I recall many years ago seeing a 3 ele quad antenna in one of the RSGB
handbooks. Instead of the usual 1 lambda loops it used 2 lambda and had
an open circuit at the top of each element -it may also have been fed by
a 1/4 matching transformer. The claimed gain was high. Does anyone have
any info ?

Thanks, I'll see if I can find a copy of the ARRL Antenna Compendium.
Does the antenna have a name so that I can do a search for it on the
web?
