Posted: 16 Feb 2018 08:34 AM PST https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?thr...ameter.599582/ I have purchased an mfj 1836 cobweb but Im having trouble mounting it. The mast ubolts are supposed to accept 1.5" diameter mast. I have a 2 inch mast already up (a force 12 flagpole vertical). I bought a plumbing adapter for 2" to 1.5" pipe and a section of 1.5" PVC pipe to get the thing mounted, but the PVC is still too big for the u bolts. Does anyone know how to reduce the 2" mast enough to get this thing up in the air today for arrl DX... The antenna will be permanently roof mounted... Reducing a mast diameter? |
