Hi, I'm part of an amateur radio astronomy group trying to get a dish on
top of a roof to work. We have much of the equipment, but are having
trouble putting it together, as far as how exactly to hook everything
up. Would this be the right newsgroup to post to? Thanks.

Hi Brian,

Maybe - maybe not. As far as the nuts and bolts go, there's a far
greater chance, but as to the practicability - well, let's just say
you might be lucky to find a lot of opinions.

Woody Sullivan (faculty) will probably steer you in the right direction. Tell
him Chip Cohen says :'hi'.

Brian

I would recommend contacting K1RQG, who runs the 70cm and above EME net
on weekend mornings. He can point you at one or more people that
currently use state of the art dish feeds and preamp designs for 432Mhz
through 49Ghz moonbounce, and know the pitfalls plus the tricks to get
your best system receive performance.

Please respond to my address as shown, and I will send you his address
in an off newsgroup email. Joe doesn't need the spam that he might get
if I published his address here.
