Robert,
I would suggest to create your 'install.exe' on the oldest (W-95, -98) system you have available and on which the software is running. When creating your 'install.exe' the (old version) dll's and ocx's for this 'old' system are included in the package. Old version dll's mostly are upwards compatable for running on 'new' systems, whereas new dll's sometimes contain new 'features' which are not compatible with the older systems. However, don't forget to test on your most up-to-date machine. At least that's my experience using 95, 98, Me and 2000 Arie. |
