I plan on installing a G5RV mini. Due to limited space I would need to
cut off about 2 feet from the antenna. I was wondering how much would this effect the antennas performance and should I trim equal ends off the span or just take the 2 feet from one end. Thanks in advance Tom |

Thanks in advance Tom It would be better to let the ends droop or bend the ends in other directions rather than cutting it. A mini is already probably as short as is reasonable to make one. Dee D. Rather than cutting it, bend the dipole back on itself or bend it at an
angle to reduce space. This would not affect the antenna. Shape does not matter as much as length with antennas. Good luck, Bill, W4WNT "Tom" wrote in message om... I plan on installing a G5RV mini.
