Program PADMATCH calculates component values for resistive attenuators and
minimum loss pads between dissimilar resistances.. It also assists with selecting resistor from the standard values series. It also calculates the percentage of input power dissipated in each of the resistors. I've heard from someone who has been searching around it's the only program on the web which gives the correct answers for both T and Pi networks although this sounds a little far fetched. But it seems it's the only program to design matching attenuators for a given loss between two dissimilar impedances. Just a reminder PADMATCH is still available from the following website. The Pascal source code for this program can also be downloaded. It may be of interest to budding prorammers. ---- ======================= Regards from Reg, G4FGQ For Free Radio Design Software go to http://www.g4fgq.com ======================= |

I will try soon your PADMATCH, but you can try my Excel application that does (I suppose) the same. You will find it at site in signature. On main menu chose (sorry it's only Italian): Strumenti-Attenuatori-Passivi and then click on the first asterisk in the page(*). Hi All, Alta Vista has a tool called "Babelfish" that does translations of short sections of text, or entire web sites at: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Alta Vista ha un attrezzo chiamato "Babelfish" che fa le traduzioni delle sezioni corte di testo, o l'intero fotoricettore situa a: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC |

It's a pity that the translations are only quite close, but with a lot of phantasy! :-) This is an example: the piece "entire web sites at:" translated in :"l'intero fotoricettore situa a:" has absolutely no meaning! 'Fotoricettore' could be a device that receive the light, like a CCD or a photoresistor and 'situa' means 'locates'! Thanks anyway! :-) -- 73 de IK2VTJ, Piero. http://www.ardf.it Togli/Remove 'nonvogliospam' dall'indirizzo/from address |
