Paolo, IK1ZYW, informs me my programs will run in a LINUX, DOSEMU
environment. I was not aware of this. He has tried it with Dosemu 1.2.2.0 Thanks very much Paolo. ---- Reg, G4FGQ |

Yes, "wine" is another way in which you can run almost any windows application (even windows itself--the operating system!!! on linux)... But, if they can use a compiler, I notice you also have some source code on your page... and they could also compile this directly on a linux system... Here is a link to one compiler which can be used to compile borland turbopascal souce directly on a linux (and unix) system--and you end up with a linux executable as opposed to a windows executable... http://www.musikwissenschaft.uni-mai...tply/tply.html Warmest regards, John -- Sit down the six-pack!!! John,
You sent me an e-mail. I replied. The reply was returned undelivered to me with a message about authentication which I don't understand. So let's try this route. It is possible to dump the program results screen to printer by using the "PAINT" program which comes with Windows. But that's ALL I know. Can you figure a way of doing a screen dump to printer? I've tried but failed. Interference with a program's source code is strictly barred. What is your particular interest in Vertune? Send me an e-mail and I will try once again to reply in like manner. If it doesn't work I will return to here. ---- Reg, G4FGQ |

Would you be so kinda as to allow me to, with my humble efforts, to write a procedure in turbo pascal which I am thinking of... which will open a .txt file, write variables to it (you may fill in your varibles as you please--I need NOT be even aware of them to do this--will just supply generic variable names such as "x", "y", "z"--which you replace with the real variable names--and compile as you do), save and close this file--leaving a very small text file which can be exchanged and discussed as necessary (even posted here)?... and email the procedure in SOURCE CODE to you, you can review it and act upon it as you please? If so, give me a bit of time... I must remove a few other things off my desk first... and load up turbo pascal... Also, I will supply you with another email address immediately... I find your exchanges too valuable... if you have patience, we will work something out here... sorry about the returned mail... I am at a loss to the reason at this time... will start looking here... thank you for pointing this out to me... Warmest regards, John -- Marbles can be used in models with excellent results! However, if forced to keep using all of mine up... I may end up at a disadvantage... I seem to have misplaced some already!!! "Reg Edwards" wrote in message ... | John, | | You sent me an e-mail. Hi Reg,
Yes it works quite well with Dosemu on my Debain linux machine.. but it would be much easier if you or someone could port them directly to linux. 73 Dave KC1DI ============================== Dave, Yes, it would be much easier for you and the rest of the crowd. But it would occupy thousands of hours of hard work for me. And there's not that much remaining time. In any case the job would be unpaid. Unless, of course, you would like to organise a rich charity on my behalf. My working days are over. I would much prefer to spend my time writing new programs. It's a far more satisfying hobby. ;o) ;o) ---- Reg, G4FGQ |

They always did so, even on very old "Linux DOS emulator 0.98.3.0 $Date: 98/11/15 $". Fine job. I like Your handy tools very much. Congrats and _mni_ tnx Yours Gerald Dickinger OE5GDL |
