Default How come the "Lattin Antenna" couldn't be constucted soley of coax?

Question especially for Cecil (since you first pointed it out to me.):

Each section out of coax with center conductor running on to next section...

Warmest regards,
John

.... I should have mentioned, I envision the "traps" (sections/stubs)
backwards from the lattin use of them... braid shorted to center conductor
at the beginning of each stub...

Warmest regards,
John

It should be possible to construct a Lattin antenna from coax
but it would undoubtedly be less efficient than open-wire line.
The sections appear to be series stubs. Coax stubs are lossier
than open-wire stubs.

Thanks Cecil:

Just bought a lot of new coax here...
Looking for a way to use up the old stuff... will keep looking...

Warmest regards,
John

I rather strongly suspect that if you model this out, you'll find that
the antenna's behavior will be drastically changed by reversing the
stubs. The results may not be to your liking.
