Can anyone tell me how I would go about co-phasing or stacking 4 wheel
antennas to improve gain? I am looking at the 33cm band. Matt |

usually putting them in-phase and spacing them a half-wave apart vertically.

Matt Are they big wheels, i.e. 3 full wave loops in each big loop or simply one loop? You may want to consider whether you will use a power divider or a phasing harness. My old 2 meter big wheels (3 full waves) use a phasing harness and are set 48 inches apart.( about 5/8 wavelengths). It uses a phasing harness with the coax going to a center point, splitting into an upper and lower leg. The upper and lower legs then split again and go to the upper two antennas or the lower two antennas. Matt Here is how it is done at 2 meters, you should be able to work it out for the lengths as the spacing is given in wavelengths. They are about 1.5 meg for each file. http://home.earthlink.net/~ku4pt/images/ |
