Hoo boy, Martyn got himself another "I'm selling this rare gem,
lovingly cared for, out of my personal collection" special. Can't wait
to see it dolled up against that red velvet. (This isn't to say the
radio is a dud--Dale's got a great reputation. I just hate to see nice
old gear wind up on the Radio-Mart conveyor belt, accompanied by a
description that would do a used-car salesman proud.)

Unfortunately, I have no control over the buyer- but I too will be watching
to see how it is hyped on resale.

But you DO have control over the buyer. I thought you could cancel a bid on
your auction?

His feedback met my terms on the listing. I really don't have a problem
selling to him. He was the first to pay out of the 3 auctions I had up. What
he does with the equipment is up to him. The next buyer may end up paying
too much, but the receiver itself is in excellent condition electrically and
mechanically. Whoever gets it will be very pleased.

Reluctantly, I agree. I, too, would sell to him, because I don't think
I would have the right not to do so if he was the high bidder. I don't
like his sales tactics, but there are many, many sellers whose
practices are far worse.
