Hi Roger,
"Roger D Johnson" wrote in message ... The SW-3 I recently acquired has all sections of the voltage divider open! I have the values of the individual sections but not sure how they are arranged. It appears that the 6900 Ohm section goes to B+ and then thru the 2000 Ohm section and 3100 Ohms to ground. That is correct according to a diagram in a James Millen article for the "All-A.C. Version of the Receiver" QST, unknown date. My receiver is set up for 2.5 volt filaments and I would like to operate it from 6 volts. Half the sites I visit say the 6C6 is the sub and the other half says 6D6! Which is the better choice? The SW-3 Model II used 58, 58, 56 (2.5 volt) or 6C6, 6C6, 76 (6.3 volt) tubes interchangeably. This version used "30-40" series coils. 73 de Bill, AB6MT Thanks and 73, Roger N1RJ -- Remove tilde (~) to reply Remember the USS Liberty (AGTR-5) http://ussliberty.org/ _______________________________________________ National mailing list http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/national |

Hi Roger,
Regarding the tubes, I now see what you mean. The SW-3 here contains 6D6 tubes. "Roger D Johnson" wrote in message ... The SW-3 I recently acquired has all sections of the voltage divider open! This agrees with an SW58 schematic I found. |
