Please take time to hold an AM QSO or three on 3685KC,
plus or minus 5 KC, to help us establish an Extra Class AM window. Thank you for your help. |

I think it's a good idea to re-introduce AM at the low end of the band: there has been a lot more AM activity since the expansion, and I think a lot of hams are airing out their boatanchors now that there's more room to be used. This is also a good opportunity to talk about a new band plan, with input from all concerned, and (hopefully) agreement on where AM'ers can operate in peace. A guy in Tenn named Don (forgot his call) has been camping out there and is doing a fine job of staking a claim. I have a hard time tuning up down there and don't know why. My ant is cut for 3885 but I would think the pi net on the SB200 would take that in stride. Is this a bad assumption?
