Pete k1zjh The site indicates they make replacement crystals for Drake and Collins as well as several other brands. I wonder if you have any idea of how expensive these are in small quantity. I suppose I should contact them but don't have an immediate application. If the crystals are not too expensive it is a valuable resource. -- --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |

ICM crystals for most gear are between $10 and $25 depending on the holders. More money if you want higher precision, wider pulls, etc. MUCH nicer than buying hamfest crystals and grinding them to frequency with Ajax cleanser. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. The sort of crystals used in Drake or Collins receivers are the sort with plated silver electrodes (I am sure you know this) and can't really be reground. It worked fine on the ancient clamp mounted types. I am trying to remember what we used to etch the surface of inactive crystals. Something nasty I think. -- --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |
