I get a similar error opening with Adobe Reader so it must be goofed up.
It won't download at all.

But all the individual pages are there as gifs...at least on the Edibris
site.

FWIW, there is a small free program for making PDF's
called PDF Creator, available at:
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/
It installs as a printer and will make PDF's from any
file you can print. The image viewer in Windows will allow
combining pages to reconstitute the original multi-page
document as a PDF.
