Does anybody know the value of this rig. It is a 75 Watt AM
Transmitter-Receiver. It used Dynamotors is xtal controlled and was built for the Navy to operate on 2 to 3 mhz. Is this something someone might use or is it for a Museum? The only thing I could find out is that it is the same as a RMCA ET-8012-HF. It is built like a tank, and very heavy. If you have any interesting info on it please email me directly at: as I don't often read all the posts hear. Thanks, Robert |

I am the curator at Battleship Cove in Fall River, MA and am very involved in the restoration of our radio rooms. Up until recently, we have visited WWII vessels in search of parts for ours, and I have seen several old radio rooms. The TCP was present on the HASKELL class attack transports LAUDERDALE and GAGE. I have always been curious myself as to how they were used, for the radio rooms in both ships covered the same frequencies with other equipment. Hope this helps a little bit. Chris |
