Unfortunately I over- loosened and the now the dial knob just flops(pulley is off the dial Im assuming after looking at pictures of replacement ones).. DOH! I now have to go out to the hardware store and procure that SUPER tiny Allen wrench so I can remove the zero dial set knob and the "heathkit sb-... Everything seems somewhat normal, but when trying to adjust the audio and balance phasing, I get an uneven waveform. That is looking at the RF on a scope at 80M, the peaks and valleys are not equal, they alternate as to amplitude. It looks sort of like the book, but like I say alternating amplitudes. Nothing I seem to do seems to make it change. Im loading it pretty much like the book, but Im only loading the Apache up to 200ma Ip with... I read a summary of Amecos history once, specifically with regard to the AC-1, but now can not find it. I just purchased an AC-1, Aerotron version. I received my original AC-1 for Christmas in 1967.
