A Collins 32V-3

Now that Ive got the R-390 up and running Ive acquired a Collins 32V-3 to
pair it with. I havent powered it up yet, just working around the outside.
Ive replaced the cracked frequency dial glass. The antenna connector got
dinged and the whole assembly got bent so that needs to be replaced. The
front panel screw that seems to hold the Antenna Loading shaft in place is
loose and somehow binds up the control if I try and tighten it so...

KWM2 Band Switch Shaft

What is the best way to remove the cans that cover the tuning slugs that
the band switch shaft goes through.

Im sure there is a trick to it! Thanks to everyone sharing their
experience and knowledge!

I have two KWM-2s that came to me from Peru. They both look like they were
last owned by a capybara, spent time at the bottom of a river, and then
were home to mice. I have been working on the better of the two. I cleaned
it up very thoroughly, changed a few bad tubes, fixed the slug rack which
was off the rear pivot, replaced all the electrolytic capacitors, cleaned
the switches, disabled the PA, and fired it with the HV rectifier removed.



The radio works--except it only gets one...
