Default Anybody know what the price of a Murphy B40D series radio would have been

when shipped new to the UK Admiralty? (or any other cursomer for that
matter?)

According to the "book", the B-40D sold for L500 in 1950-54. (sorry,
don't have pound currency key!).

That about a YEARS salary for an average guy in the UK at the time!
