I am taking care of an estate here in the Phila area and am in the process
of liquidating the ham equipment when I came to this monster. as from what i can tell this is a home brew transmitter that stands over 6 feet tall, built into an old coca-cola machine. the unit has 4 each 4-250a tubes on 2 different decks and a pair of 810's on another deck. the transmitter looks to be set up for 80 meters with plug in coils, but i also found other coils to go with the transmitter. i tried to move this thing but could not budge it. will need a couple of men and a small boy to move this thing. so if you feel energetic and would like to take this thing home drop me an e-mail. i do have some 35mm pictures of this thing that i can scan and e-mail you.the transmitter was built by an electronic engineer who spent 25 yrs working for KYW t.v. here in the Phila area.also have some t.v. repair equipment, surplus stuff and other radios forsale so as soon as i get my list together i will post. thankyou, -- John Haberkern W3AYT |
