Thanks for reading this. I got a reply on this question a few days back, but
I've heard conflicting information and would like to have more opinions. I have some crystal holders, about 1" x 1" x 2", most with four pins on the bottom, and colored gold. They're marked Motorola, and have various transmit and receive frequencies in the two meter band: each has both a crystal frequency and an operating frequency printer on the gold can. The crystals - all HC6/u holders - mount diagonally inside the holders, i.e., from one corner to another, and they're too big to fit any other way. In one unit, there are six pins and two crystals, with two operating frequencies printed. The transmit frequency is (xtal-freq x 24). If anyone has any pointers to web sites or other info, please pass them along. Thanks in advance. Bill -- William Warren (I'm not a Vegan. Adjust email address as needed.) |
