I need a little help to determine the value of my Hallicrafters SX 71
receiver. I am the original owner, non-smoker, and I also have the original owner's manual. I modified the receiver about 25 years ago, but I think I have it back to it's original state. It works, but the bandswitch needs cleaning. It covers 75 to 6 meters (but I would not call it a hot receiver on 6 meters!) I would prefer local pickup in the Bloomsburg, PA area. I am not a fan of boatanchors, and any help would be appreciated to get my basement cleaned out. Thanks for reading... -- 73, from W2EMF, Al Donkin email: A Radio Amateur since 1950 |

Hi. Right now there are four completed auctions for SX-71s that sold on Ebay
and a couple still in the running. All ranging from $103.50- $238.00. Compare yours to them and find the one that closely resembles the condition of your set and there you have it. Hope this helps. -- 73 and good DXing! Brian's Radio Universe http://home.jps.net/~jonnysocko/ "Al Donkin" wrote in message ...
